HAWKINGE FUN DAY!
The Pilgrims Hospice kindly lent us their promotional caravan (purchased by Lions Clubs in Kent) which was a lot easier than struggling with gazebos!
Our main aim here was to chat to local people about what we do, a great many people know the Christmas float but not many know that it is run by Elham Valley and Wye Lions! We hope we explained what we do and the fun we have raising money and seeing it put to good use in the community.
We really need some new members, especially younger ones, and hopefully today we made a few more people aware of what we do and maybe inspired a few to give up a few hours to join us.

This email goes to Julie, who was at the event with Roger, Rose, Neil, and Howard. we can chat to you about it in more detail and perhaps you would like to come to one of our meetings or social events to find out a bit more. We absolutely promise that there is no pressure to join and if you do join us you only give what time you have. Obviously the more members we have the more people there are to allocate jobs to!
